Research is a cornerstone of academic excellence and innovation at Integral Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (IIMSR). The Institute is committed to generating high-quality, ethical, and clinically relevant research that advances medical knowledge, improves patient care, and addresses national and global healthcare priorities.

IIMSR has established a vibrant research ecosystem supported by a Central Research Laboratory equipped with advanced instrumentation for biomedical research, complemented by well-equipped departmental research laboratories across pre-clinical, para-clinical, and clinical disciplines. The Institute also offers an enabling environment for clinical research through its tertiary care teaching hospital, interdisciplinary collaborations, Institutional Ethics Committee, Institutional Research Committee, and a culture that promotes scientific inquiry and innovation.

Faculty members and students are actively engaged in basic, translational, clinical, and medical education research. Current projects span diverse areas including herbal and traditional medicines, infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, non-communicable diseases, neuroscience, artificial intelligence in medical education, maternal and child health, and public health.
