About the Department
The Department of Paediatrics at IIMSR, Integral University, Lucknow is a clinical body dedicated to the comprehensive healthcare of infants, children, and adolescents, focusing on growth, development, disease prevention, and management of paediatric illnesses. The department teaches MBBS students as per the latest CBME curriculum with an intake of 200 undergraduate students per batch. Postgraduate training is offered in MD Paediatrics with a strong focus on clinical expertise and research. Practical training includes paediatric clinical examination, neonatal resuscitation protocols, growth chart interpretation, immunization techniques, nutritional assessment, developmental screening, and management of paediatric emergencies. Students are trained in interpreting paediatric ECG, X-rays, and laboratory parameters. The department is well equipped with Paediatric Wards, NICU, PICU, and an Immunization Clinic with rigorous OPD services catering to Lucknow and surrounding areas. Teaching is supported by case-based discussions, simulation-based learning, and audiovisual aids. The department actively engages in community-based programs addressing child health and preventive paediatrics.
