IIMSR's MBBS program is a 4.5-year undergraduate medical degree followed by a 12-month Compulsory Rotating Internship, fully aligned with the NMC Graduate Medical Education Regulations (GMER) 2023 and delivered under the Competency-Based Medical Education (CBME) framework mandated by the National Medical Commission (NMC), India.
All students begin with the mandatory Foundation Course and Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) program in Phase 1. The AETCOM (Attitude, Ethics & Communication) module runs as a longitudinal thread across all three phases, building professional values alongside clinical skills. By Phase 3, students attend supervised ward rounds, assist in procedures, and formally present cases. The curriculum is structured to prepare graduates comprehensively for the NExT (National Exit Test), the single gateway to licensure and postgraduate admission.
